As we move through our daily life we are often consumed with the pressures and stress that tend to take a toll. Moms are supposed to do it all; work, cook, clean, organize fundraisers, serve on committees, volunteer, and bake at the last minute. Teenagers are the cause of much of this stress; some lack clarity and goals, self-esteem, test anxiety, peer struggles, parent/child tension, academic pressures, school phobia, and college admissions. My mission is to ease your burden and provide strategies to help everyone live a more positive and fulfilled life. My passion for working with adolescents, women, and families, is the result of 20 years as a School Counselor/Director of Guidance in both urban and rural environments.
My approach is friendly and participative with a combination of strategies that include counseling for public and private school students, coaching on-line and in person, family and individual sessions to elementary, middle and high school students in the Albany and Troy area. I will be facilitating a self-esteem empowerment group for young women, and a group for women to cope with daily challenges. I am also organizing a retreat for young women to be held each fall and spring.
I am available for evening and weekend appointments and offer a free consultation as well. Please visit my web site to learn more about who I am.
