Our goal is to provide opportunities for proactive change—Putting Life in Focus is our priority.
When it comes to our children there are so many aspects we want to protect them from; other people, playing with dangerous objects, first day of school—are they going to have friends? Is their outfit okay? Will they fit in? Is his/her teacher kind and understanding? Are the kids being friendly? Will my child make the team, the club, the play? Will they have someone to eat with? Sit on the bus with, or walk to school with? Will they say no if offered drugs? These themes echo as they transition from elementary, junior high, high school and college. As a counselor for 20 years I have counseled and advised parents on school related issues that range from:
College Research +
Anger & frustration
Date rape & abusive relationships
My experiences implementing two anti-bullying programs proved extremely beneficial with regards to many of the aforementioned issues I dealt with daily. With my degree in mental health counseling now official I look forward to the opportunity of coaching, advising and offering supports to your child and to your family.
